How are you brother in Christ?
I read your website: I read your blog at http://www.horsesense.ws/voiceofgod.htm and It was very moving.
I came across it doing a google search of “audible voice of god.”

I have been wanting to hear God’s voice audibly as to feel closer to God, and knowing more accurately what he wants me to do. It seems that God has gifted you with great intelligence. I am a firm believer that when we are in tune with the Holy Spirit, we can reach 100 percent of our brain capacity, as opposed to the average 4 percent.

I have a friend that his wife separated from him from no apparent reason, except lies from the enemy, and so I sympathize with you, and you situation. I believe that there are areas in our lives in which sometime we have to experience drastic problems, so that we may not be deferred from our destiny, and specific purpose for us on this earth.

I have lost many relationships too, but each one of them has helped me not to make the same mistakes as I did in the past, and also to be happy with who I am in Christ with no one else around. I believe that the quicker I accomplish what I need to accomplish on my own, and my eyes stay focused in the Kingdom of Heaven, then the right woman will come to compliment my specific purposes in Christ.

I also believe that as soon as my friend learns to depend on God, and trust in him more, that God will change his wife’s heart, and mature her enough to allow her to welcome him again.

Take courage my brother in Christ, be strong and courageous, and in due time and in trusting in The Lord things will start to make more sense. You will be in my prayers.

By the way, when you get a chance check out my blog at http://www.mysaviorspace.com

I replied to Andres ...

Dear Andres,

Thank you kindly for reaching out to me. [See the bottom of this email, Andres, and understand that hearing His voice is not a bonus or "something extra" - rather it is a commandment from The Lord.]

I. regarding: I read your blog at http://www.horsesense.ws/voiceofgod.htm and It was very moving. I came across it doing a google search of “audible voice of god.”
The article/memoir you read has been on the Internet since 2000.
You are the first + only person ever to contact me as a result of this writing [with one exception: years ago somebody contacted me solely because the article mentioned "Rudy Brookshire" and he wanted to know if I had Ruby's current contact info - he did not mention the article iteslf.]
Now I will have to update this article with your question. Do I have your permission (your personal contact info will be hidden, if you wish)?
Perhaps our back-and-forth may be something new for Google et alii to index? (this is a question, Andres)

Here is a little history:
     * When He first called me out of this world, into the Kingdom of Heaven [aka "His Body" » "Jesus anwered, 'My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.' ".]
     * I read His Words, when He said, "I will not leave you comfortless, I will send you a Comforter ... But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me ...This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us ... But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. "
     * And I believed His Word - that He would be faithful to and keep His word.
     * So I asked him to teach me "all things"
... and He kept His promise — as much as I am able to receive.

II. regarding your statement: I am a firm believer that when we are in tune with the Holy Spirit, we can reach 100 percent of our brain capacity, as opposed to the average 4 percent.
I am aware of the AVG brain capacity utilized by most humans (Einstein estimated that he was using less than 5% of his brain).
This is only referring to the CONSCIOUS portion of the brain, in fact most of our brains are constantly "calculating and analyzing" in the background (we call it our subconscious mind).
The brain is flesh, in the material (i.e. physical) world.
Humans are both flesh (material/physical) beings, and spiritual beings.
As such, we live in both the physical world and the spiritual world.
You may be relying too much upon your own understanding, by your own carnal brain...

The fact is: the Holy Spirit operates in our spiritual bodies, not in our flesh ...
"That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
"But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you.
"Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation."

Did you understand why the two travelers on the road to Samaria did not understand?
     * They had the very best teacher in the world: The Resurrected Jesus Christ Himself!
     * He explained to them what had come to pass recently in Jerusalem, about how the Messiah came to the earth specifically to offer Himself as a sacrifice for all mankind's sins, to be crucified, to be resurrected after three days + three nights, and to ascend into heaven taking with Him His blood which he had shed for their salvation, and so forth [note: His blood that He shed on Calvary did not lie upon the ground and decompose, He took it to the Holiest of Holies in a consecrated vessel, where His blood remains today as proof and a testament and reminder: He shall surely save you.]
     * Still, they did not know Jesus Christ.
Then, He broke bread, blessed the bread, and gave it unto them to eat.

Immediately upon receiving the the blessing from Jesus:
They knew Jesus Christ, that He is the one feasting with them and speaking to them.
You see Andres: Man's knowledge of Jeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ) is a gift from God.
Rather the knowledge of Him is a result of our salvation by Him, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no flesh can boast."

We do not achieve salvation, or Knowdlege of Him and His resurrection: "You did not choose me, but I chose you ..."

That is "the scary part" of The Good News (german 'godspell' today "Gospel") ... God chooses us!
That means that we CANNOT claim anything when we go before Him,
& if we do so (if we take "pride" or "credit" for our coming to Him) ... when we go before Him asking Him for anything ...
& then we are not approaching Him correctly — rather we are flaunting our Flesh before the thrown of God!
Do you see what I mean? "But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you."

About Flesh (brains) and Spirit ...
He said:
"See my hands and my feet, that it is truly me. Touch me and see, for a spirit doesn't have flesh and bones, as you see that I have."
"The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
"It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life."

Do you see that your stated goal: "I am a firm believer that when we are in tune with the Holy Spirit, we can reach 100 percent of our brain capacity..."
     ... is the wrong goal,
... that using more of our carnal brain is the wrong request to ask of Him?

III. Finally, regarding: "I have been wanting to hear God’s voice audibly as to feel closer to God, and knowing more accurately what he wants me to do."
May I suggest you consider: No flesh will glory before The Lord.
Perhaps it would be helpful to read again, and to understand:
     * that His Words, "My sheep recognize my voice; I know them, and they follow me."
     * are not so much a request from Him, that He is not begging us "please listen to me ..."
Rather it is a COMMANDMENT from Him.
If you do not recognize His voice,
Then the question is, are you one of His Sheep?

It is a fair question, Andres.
     Are you?
How do you know you are one of His sheep if you have not done what He said that all of His sheep do?

Perhaps one might consider asking Him for understanding ... which we can do when we use true Faith.
We do not need to have any faith, no not even as much as a mustardseed.
     All  that we need is to believe that GOD IS FAITHFUL;
          - that He will keep HIS WORD;
               - which is exactly what the word *faithful* means: being faithful means keeping ones words and promises.
Here are some of His words and promises:
"Seek and ye shall find, ask and it shall be given, knock and the door shall be opened."
"For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.
"Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

Those are HIS promises, to which He is faithful.

Fortunately, the only *faith* that we are required to have, in order to obtain His promises,
is that HE IS FAITHFUL TO KEEP HIS WORDS.

But please consider + understand what I wrote in the article ...

... she said that there was no excuse.[for NOT knowing His voice. ~mark]
She explained that, just as real sheep would audibly recognize their shepherd’s voice and come at its beckoning, so must we learn The Lord’s voice. She showed us how this comes only with prayer and complete devotion. She also instructed us in this manner, that we must approach The Lord standing upon His promise: that the sheep in His flock would know His voice.
Also, that we must ask Him to reveal to us His audible voice with faith; this meaning that we should not repetitiously badger Him. Rather, we must ask Him believing that He keeps His promises and will honor His own word; and then wait quietly for His response. We must not approach Him with a pre-conception of what He will say: we must not put words into His mouth. If we did approach Him while carrying any expectation of what He would say, then we would either be disappointed and unanswered or worse, deceived. Also, when we go before The Lord to hear His voice, we must be totally committed, “sold out to God,” as Ruby would say.
By being “sold out,” she admonished, we must not place any of our temporal exigencies on Almighty God our Maker, who speaks to us from the throne of Heaven. We must subjugate our flesh completely, if our ears of flesh are to hear the audible voice of God. This means that we must not take thought of food or drink, or of what we must do on the morrow, for God knows that we are flesh. Neither may we sleep, for the weakness that is our flesh will betray us.

We must go into our prayer closet with full and complete commitment, ask The Lord to reveal to us His voice, thenceforth to speak only praises to Him without other requests or repetition, to put from our minds all thoughts or expectations, and to become silent: as befits a man of flesh and bone kneeling before the throne of the Almighty God. We wait upon Him.

Please keep me in the loop, let me know when you too hear the Audible Voice of God.

in Christ,
